Mr. Driller Ace was developed by Project Driller for Namco. It was released on 23 July 2002 in Japan. There were rumours that it would be released in Europe or North America but thus far, nearly two years after the Japanese release, they have proved to be unfounded. Atari (Infogrames) did release Mr. Driller 2, a Japanese GBA launch title, in Europe early in 2004 - so there is a slim hope that Mr. Driller Ace could one day be released in Indo-European languages.
