 Intro: Mission Driller is the traditional Mr. Driller game mode. Your goal is to reach the bottom of each area, with the exception of the endless Space area - in which case your goal is to journey as deep as you can.
Tactical Tips: As you are tunneling downwards you can create ledges directly above you for protection. When loose blocks are falling they will connect to blocks of the same colour. So, if there is a yellow block falling above you and you tunnel past a yellow block they will connect and you will be safe under the yellow ledge. But be careful, when four or more blocks of the same colour combine they will disappear. » Brown blocks (X-block) take five hits to destroy and consume 20% of your air. So, when Air capsules are trapped behind X-blocks the best strategy is often to destroy the coloured blocks above the X-blocks in order to drop other X-blocks on to the ones concealing the air capsule. If four X-blocks come together they will disappear, giving you easy access to the precious air capsule. » On portions of the field with only two block colours, look out above you and be patient. Wait for the chain reactions to settle down before proceeding. Areas: Japan, France, Amazon, and Space. » Japan: Easy, 500 metres. » France: Normal, 800 metres. » Amazon: Hard, 1500 metres. » Space: Endless, Endless. » Shop: Stock up on goods.
